For the first time in my life, I have to review the performance of other people at work. Fortunately, the people I do have to review aren't real trouble cases (indeed, a couple of them are very solid performers) but it's really sinking in that while I'm not the boss, I am a boss. To this end, I've solicited the advice of my boss, my dad, who was a supervisor for many years, and my friend Chad, a sergeant in the U.S. army. They were all gold mines of information, and thankfully, none of it was contradictory. So thanks Chris, Chad, and Dad. You helped a lot, and I'll be taking all of the advice into account as I write the reviews this weekend.
